The Montafon stretches over 39 kilometres from Bludenz to the Silvretta Bielerhöhe and offers the right mountain adventure for every season: crystal-clear lakes, gentle alpine pastures, rugged peaks and one of Austria's largest ski areas.
In Gortipohl, right in the middle of the valley, you will find our Hotel Alpenfeuer, the ideal base for slopes, cross-country trails, hiking paths and mountainbike routes. Here you are never far from your next summit experience.

Silvretta Bielerhöhe, at 2,037 metres
At the end of the valley awaits one of Austria's most beautiful high alpine passes. The Silvretta Bielerhöhe connects Vorarlberg and Tyrol and is home to the atmospheric Silvretta reservoir. Whether a summer retreat, a motorbike loop or a winter dream, the drive along the Silvretta high alpine road is an experience in itself.
From Gortipohl you reach the Bielerhöhe in around 40 minutes. Ideal for a day trip, a picnic by the lake or the start of a high alpine hike.

The Silvretta Montafon ski area is one of the largest and most modern in Austria. With more than 140 kilometres of slopes, 35 lifts and descents ranging from gentle family runs to sporty moguls, every wish is covered.
Our two home mountains, Gortipohl and St. Gallenkirch, are directly reachable: from the hotel you are at the valley station in just a few minutes. It does not get any closer from bed to slope.
